Job Tittle: Change Management Specialist
Location: Edmonton, AB
Contract: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Job Description:
As a Change Management Specialist, you will work closely with the program management team, ministries, and leadership to assess, create strategies, and develop content for complex change initiatives related to procurement transformation. You will be responsible for engaging stakeholders, analyzing risks, and executing change strategies to help transition stakeholders from the current state to a future state.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project sponsors, operational teams, and cross-functional teams to conduct change management assessments.
Work with Program Manager and senior management to develop project plans, estimate resources, and monitor work plans for change management.
Contribute to risk and issue identification, and response strategies.
Engage stakeholders and conduct stakeholder analysis.
Perform change impact assessments and develop a resistance management plan.
Develop and implement change strategies, including communication plans, training materials, and schedules.
Regularly communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders about the status of the change plan, identify risks, and highlight opportunities.
Represent the Ministry/Program area and foster client and stakeholder relationships.
Develop key performance indicators to measure the success of change adoption and monitor progress.
Must-Have Qualifications:
5+ years of experience conducting change impact analysis.
5+ years of experience developing and delivering communications and presentations.
5+ years of experience creating change management deliverables (Change Strategy, etc.).
5+ years of experience in a change management role, applying change management principles.
5+ years of experience with current methodologies and design thinking in change management.
Nice-to-Have:
CCMP™ certification (Change Management Professional™).
3+ years of experience in developing readiness programs, training, or stakeholder engagement.
3+ years of experience in public sector procurement processes.
3+ years of experience using ERP systems like SAP.
3+ years of experience working in or with the public sector.
