Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Capital Markets Operations Analyst – Banking. This position involves supporting critical post-trade activities within the equity finance sector, ensuring accurate settlement, collateral management, and timely reconciliation across global markets. The role offers valuable exposure to international securities lending and market operations, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to a renowned institution’s operational excellence.

Pay rate range (CAD): $53.03/hr – $63.63/hr

Responsibilities

Manage daily settlement lifecycle for equity finance trades, including borrows, loans, and recalls
Perform collateral processing, mark-to-market activities, and monitor exposures
Execute daily reconciliations across internal systems and external depositories (e.g., DTC, CDS)
Investigate and resolve breaks, fails, and counterparty exceptions
Support end-of-day reporting in compliance with control and regulatory standards
Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, and Control teams to mitigate operational risk
Desired Skill-Set

Minimum of 5 years experience in Capital Markets Operations, ideally in Equity Finance or Securities Lending
Strong knowledge of settlement processes, collateral management, and reconciliations
Hands-on experience with post-trade systems such as G1, iLOAN, or similar platforms
Proven ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive workflows effectively
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Effective communicator with stakeholder management skills
Ability to onboard swiftly and operate independently
Availability to support knowledge transfer sessions in June prior to role start
Nice to Have

Experience working within a global or cross-border operational environment
Prior exposure to international securities lending markets across North America, Europe, or Asia
Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting securities lending and post-trade processes
