Job Title: Business Consultant – Workload Analysis & Process Optimization

Location: Vancouver, BC

Employment Type: Contract (June 2025 – May 2026)

 

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant to lead workload analysis and process improvement initiatives within a large public sector organization. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative solutions leveraging digital tools and automation. This role is pivotal in enabling the organization to optimize service delivery, manage increasing demand, and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven insights and strategic planning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate and lead comprehensive workflow assessments, including documenting current state processes, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending streamlined, automated solutions.Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and resource requirements.Develop clear, actionable recommendations for workload management improvements, including defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quantifying expected benefits such as time savings and efficiency gains.Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, ensuring effective communication across diverse units and levels of the organization.Prepare and deliver project updates, reports, and presentations, and manage project documentation in alignment with organizational standards.Support change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and tools, including tracking progress and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in business process design and systems alignment projects, including change management planning.At least 5 years of expertise in project management, business process analysis, and implementing change initiatives to improve organizational efficiency.Proven track record of managing stakeholder communications across various levels and functional areas within large organizations.Extensive experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and recommend process improvements.Over 10 years of experience in developing, implementing, and measuring KPIs, with demonstrated ability to quantify operational outcomes.

Preferred Skills:

Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.Experience in public sector or government environments preferred.Familiarity with workload modelling, automation tools, and digital transformation strategies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information.
