Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Azure Observability Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade monitoring and telemetry solutions across Azure environments. This role focuses on Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, and seamless alerting integrations with ServiceNow to enhance system visibility, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and diagnostic settings
Build and optimize alerting pipelines and integrate Azure alerts/events with ServiceNow
Lead the implementation of OpenTelemetry for traces, metrics, and logs, including Collector pipelines and sampling strategies
Implement and manage Dynatrace instrumentation for Azure workloads (including serverless and container-based applications)
Support Dynatrace ActiveGate deployment and hybrid telemetry ingestion patterns
Ensure secure and reliable telemetry flows, including private endpoints, TLS, and identity management
Enforce monitoring standards and governance using Terraform and Azure Policy
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Observability, with at least 2+ years in Azure
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting frameworks
Experience integrating cloud-native alerting systems with ServiceNow
Proficiency in OpenTelemetry instrumentation and Collector configuration
Good understanding of networking and security principles related to telemetry
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Azure Policy
Nice to Have
Azure certifications (Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer)
Experience with Azure Functions, Container Apps, and serverless observability
Advanced experience with Dynatrace, including container and serverless instrumentation
