Architect – Cloud & Virtualization Infrastructure
Contract-to-Perm (target conversion after 6–9 months based on performance)
Eligibility: Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident only (Bona fide occupational requirement
Location: Mississauga/Brampton | Hybrid: 3 days onsite/week (subject to change)
Assessment: Hands-on Azure technical assessment
Target Background: Large enterprise environments (banking, healthcare, government, police, education, etc.) supporting multi-site North American operations.

Main Deliverables
Lead the design, implementation, modernization, and support of enterprise Azure and virtualization platforms. Deliver secure, scalable, highly available solutions covering cloud migration, automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, disaster recovery, backup, capacity planning, performance optimization, and security. Provide Level 3 support, define infrastructure standards and roadmaps, produce technical documentation, collaborate across IT teams, support vendor activities, and mentor technical staff.

Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
TOGAF (or equivalent) certification.
One of: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VCDX, or AWS Solutions Architect Professional.
7+ years with Azure architecture and enterprise virtualization platforms.
7+ years with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix, OpenShift, or similar.
5+ years with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Windows/Linux administration, enterprise networking, storage technologies, and SQL Server.
Proven Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and automated failover solutions.
Experience migrating VMware workloads to Azure.
Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred:
SD-WAN design/support experience.
Cisco UCS experience.
Knowledge of data centre infrastructure/power systems.
Vendor management experience.
Experience in large multi-site North American enterprises
