Job Description

As a Program/Project Manager – IT Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of infrastructure and data center projects. You will lead complex, large-budget projects involving IT services, infrastructure, and process redesigns while ensuring alignment with business goals. This position demands exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

Develop integrated project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Oversee end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects with a focus on cost, quality, and timelines.Team Leadership

Lead project teams, including internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with project objectives.Foster collaboration and provide guidance to ensure team success.Risk & Scope Management

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.Monitor project scope and initiate change requests when necessary to meet evolving business needs.Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.Facilitate collaboration and alignment of goals across all stakeholders.Communication & Reporting

Provide regular updates and reports to project partners and executives.Maintain clear and open communication channels.Financial Management

Create cost models, maintain budgets, and make adjustments to meet financial goals.Governance & Quality Assurance

Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and best practices.Maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports, and other artifacts.Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving

Identify and resolve project issues to maintain progress and achieve objectives.IT Infrastructure Management

Manage IT infrastructure project portfolios, including prioritization, reporting, and pipeline management.Lead IT rationalization projects for consolidating data centers.Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and security.Change Management

Implement project-related changes in 24×7 production environments.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience managing infrastructure projects with large budgets and complex solutions.Demonstrated expertise in IT service, infrastructure, and support process redesign and documentation.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure/data center technologies, including server hardware, operating systems, SAN storage, networking equipment, and more.Experience with ITIL practices and integration of risk management into technology implementations.Functional understanding of data center components and integration of servers, storage, and networking technologies.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Teams, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.Strong analytical and technical vocabulary to communicate effectively with engineers and translate for business users.Working knowledge of IT industry hardware/software providers.Soft Skills

Exceptional leadership, communication, management, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.Skilled at prioritizing trade-offs and navigating complex scenarios.Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities.
