Summary of responsibilities:

The Advisor, Projects and Deployments is responsible for providing project management and logistical deployment advice to all stakeholders regarding task execution, developing and maintaining project plans, and schedules including but not limited to CATSA’s mandated hold-baggage screening (HBS), pre-board screening (PBS), and non-passenger screening (NPS) programs. The incumbent also ensures application of the Project Management Framework (PMF) guidelines including developing Project Charters, Project schedule, financial, and risk change requests, and leading Program Status Review updates to senior management. The Advisor, Projects and Deployments performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

 

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

Successful completion of a college diploma or university degree with specialization in Project Management, Business Administration, Logistics or another relevant discipline related to the duties of the position.A minimum of four (4) years experience in the areas of supply chain management, logistics, deployment, scheduling, planning and overseeing projects that include the delivery and installation of high tech equipment.Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of project planning, estimating as well as budget and contract management.Experience interfacing with a variety of different project stakeholders to develop a detailed work breakdown structure and facilitate project planning.Knowledge or experience with various Airport security screening technologies or baggage handling systems.Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

Valuable skills include:

Knowledge of CATSA’s mandate and priorities.Knowledge of Airport operations, HBS, PBS and NPS systems and functions.Knowledge or experience with various security screening equipment technologies.Knowledge of equipment installation, commissioning, or maintenance experience.PMP certification or similar experience.

Specific work requirements:

Ability to work overtime as required;Ability to travel as requiredLanguage Profile: BBBB;Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; andBe a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
