Position: Security Project Manager

Rate: $80.00 – $90.00 / hr INC

Duration: 6 months to start (project scope until the end of 2025 at minimum)

Working Structure: Hybrid (2X in office / per week – Tues/Thurs)

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Interview Timeline: End of September / Early October

Start Date: November 1, 2024

 

 

Top 3 skills:

 

1. 5+ years in Project Management (2+ years minimum in cyber security)

2. Complete understanding of an enterprise cyber security landscape (must have a holistic understanding of various areas of cyber security including Risk & Compliance (GRC), Pen-testing, remediations, vulnerability findings, etc..)

3. Strong experience with handling project financials – particularly with forecasting and budgeting (someone to help management OPEX and CAPEX expenditure)

Nice-to-haves:

PMP (this showcases the ability to have direct conversations around project management principles – not a deal breaker, but is something worth noting)

 

 

 

 

Job Description:

 

CorGTA has partnered with a loyalty & rewards client in the GTA. The client is seeking a Security Project Manager on a 6-month initial contract with a high chance of long-term extension opportunities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the execution of the enterprise cyber security roadmap and be the key stakeholder managing project financials – particularly influential with forecasting and budgeting.

 

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

 

 

You have a minimum of 5 years’ direct work experience in a project management capacity with 2+ years of recent experience in cyber security environments.You have a solid understanding of common project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.Strong background handling project financials (OPEX and CAPEX expenditures)You have demonstrated experience successfully delivering Information Security and Information Technology projects in an enterprise environment.You have a good technical understanding of common I.T. technologies and domains, including cybersecurity, API integration, and cloud-based services.You have a strong reporting background and are highly organized.You have a recognized certification in Project Management, preferably PMI PMP.

 

What Success looks like in this role:

 

 

 

You will perform key communications regarding change, project status, and project value proposition.

You will identify project risks, prepare risk mitigation plans, and actively manage risks.

You will effectively manage scope, budget, resources, and schedule for assigned initiatives.

You will integrate requirements definition, design activities, implementation tasks, and change management activities into portfolio and project plans.

You will define and measure change related KPIs and CSFs and contribute to continuous improvement.
