Capital Markets IT Project Manager

Hiring: Capital Markets IT Project Manager | Murex & ION Transformation | Toronto

I’m hiring an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a major $10M Treasury & Capital Markets transformation program with one of Canada’s Top 5 banks.
This is a highly visible initiative focused on migrating FX & Money Market platforms from ION to Murex, with responsibility for managing multiple workstreams, vendors, senior stakeholders, budget, risks, and end-to-end program delivery.

📍 Toronto, ON | Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite
💰 Rate: $110/hr Incorp
📅 12-month contract | Extension/FTE potential
🕘 37.5 hours/week

🔑 Must-Have Experience:
✅ 8+ years of Project/Program Management experience
✅ Hands-on Murex experience
✅ Strong Treasury and/or Capital Markets experience — both preferred
✅ Experience leading $10M+ technology programs
✅ Proven end-to-end delivery leadership across complex workstreams
✅ Strong executive presence and senior stakeholder management
✅ Vendor management experience, including managing deliverables and outcomes

⭐ Nice to Have:
➕ ION platform experience
➕ Previous experience within a Top 5 Canadian Bank / Financial Institution
➕ PMP or equivalent certification
The strongest candidates will understand the intersection of Murex + ION + Capital Markets/Treasury + large-scale technology delivery and be comfortable working closely with senior leadership, Murex, and the System Integrator to drive the program through execution.
