Job Overview

– The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering assigned projects to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective execution. The individual provides oversight across all phases, from planning through completion.

– Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost estimates. Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved plans.

– Scope Management: Define and manage project scope, ensuring requirements are understood, documented, and controlled.

– Schedule Coordination: Coordinate activities across teams, monitor progress against milestones, and take corrective actions where required.

– Cost Management: Track project expenditures and forecasts, identify variances, and implement mitigation strategies.

– Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external partners. Ensure clear communication of expectations and challenges.

– Contract and Vendor Coordination: Support contractor and service provider management to ensure work meets contractual requirements, quality standards, and timelines.

– Safety and Compliance: Ensure work complies with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

– University degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related discipline. P.Eng. designation and PMP certification or equivalent are assets.
– 4–10+ years of progressive project management experience, including complex industrial or infrastructure projects. Nuclear is preferred.
– Provide technical field leadership during planning, readiness, and execution phases. Identify and resolve field issues and execution challenges.
– Act as a key interface between the project team and station stakeholders.
– Support field walkdowns and readiness activities.
– Ensure field concerns are documented, tracked, assigned, and driven to resolution.
– Promote a strong safety culture and ensure field activities align with nuclear safety, industrial safety, quality, and procedural requirements.
– Demonstrated experience managing budgets, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
– Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
