Hiring: ServiceNow SPM Developer
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Duration: September 28, 2026 – September 27, 2027
Hourly Rate: $75/hour – $90/hour (based on experience)

To be part of the Portfolio Governance & Analytics team to develop and implement ServiceNow SPM management solutions that streamline project governance processes, enhance compliance, improve centralized data quality and workflow through out End-to-End Strategic Initiative & project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
As ServiceNow SPM developer, you will be part of a Portfolio Governance & Analytics team providing both oversight, as well as leading implementation of multiple strategic initiatives. Although the area of immediate focus will be perform ServiceNow SPM project management enhance according to our new Gating, Governance etc., this may grow to other SPM related components, as well as other new features as required:
Work with the PGA team to analyze existing business case intake and project gating governance process to improve and optimize current process.
Create dashboards and reports to improve visibility and support data-driven decisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and governance policies. Participating in planning and estimating the activities required to test the new solutions, enhanced applications and migrated tools.
Configure and develop POC to utilize SPM related modules, includes but not limited to:

Predictive Intelligence
Innovation Management
Resource Management
Digital Portfolio Management
Portfolio Planning
Financial Planning
Performance Analytics Advanced
In particular, configure and develop project finance management, resource management, and procurement management, benefit realization tracking.
Deliverables
Optimized project management
New Gating governance, auto status signaling, financial management, resource management, procurement and benefit realization, etc.
Project compliance checks.
Current process review and gap analysis
Review current implementation and conduct gap analysis.
Suggest opportunity to improve or enhance SPM.
Compliance & Audit Trail Implementation
Embedded compliance controls within workflows.
Automated logging and tracking for audit readiness.
Dashboards & Reporting Suite
Create project dataset for Dashboard & reporting.
Technical Documentation
Developer-level documentation of configurations, scripts, and workflows.
User guides for procurement team and requesters.
Code Artifacts
JavaScript scripts, Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideRecord queries, and Script Includes used in the solution.
Flow Designer configurations and Scheduled Jobs.
Testing & Validation Logs
Unit and integration test results.
UAT feedback and resolution tracking.
Deployment Plan
Step-by-step deployment checklist.
Rollback strategy
Must Haves:
Mandatory Certifications(both): a) ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), b) ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD). Candidates must provide the email address associated with the certification for verification.
Skilled in designing and developing ServiceNow workflows and forms of varying complexity to support project management.
Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, and Notifications for automation and integration.
Ability to manage certificate inventory, and related ServiceNow flows
Strong understanding of Project Management lifecycle and integration with SPM modules.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Data Science, or related field
Preferred optional Certification: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management.
5+ years’ experience with ServiceNow SPM management.
Proficient in JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Glide Record, and Script Includes.
Proficient in creating dashboards, reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Adherence to ServiceNow development best practices for scalable and maintainable solutions. Strong in ServiceNow workflows, reporting, dashboards, analytics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
