Senior AI Engineer – Snowflake AI

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with strong Snowflake expertise to design, build, and productionize enterprise-grade AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of Snowflake, Data Engineering, AI/ML, Generative AI, and Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on building secure, scalable, production-ready AI solutions using trusted enterprise data.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build AI/ML solutions using Snowflake and Snowflake Cortex AI.
Develop and productionize RAG applications, enterprise AI assistants, intelligent agents, and natural-language interfaces.
Leverage LLMs, embeddings, vector search, semantic search, and Snowflake Cortex AI functions.
Build RAG pipelines covering document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking, and prompt engineering.
Develop scalable AI and data pipelines using Python and SQL.
Integrate structured and unstructured enterprise data into AI workflows.
Build secure AI solutions aligned with data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and Responsible AI standards.
Implement GenAI evaluation and monitoring for accuracy, relevance, hallucination, latency, cost, and model quality.
Take AI prototypes and proof-of-concepts through to production-ready enterprise solutions.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in AI Engineering, ML Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related area.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, SQL, data modelling, and performance optimization.
Strong Python and SQL development skills.
Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and Generative AI application development.
Experience with Microsoft Azure.
Experience developing production-grade AI and data pipelines.
Understanding of enterprise security, privacy, access controls, data governance, and Responsible AI.

Additional experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, MLOps/LLMOps, model evaluation, observability, APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and CI/CD is highly valued.
Experience within highly regulated environments such as utilities, financial services, healthcare, or government is an asset.
Snowflake certifications are considered an asset.
