One of our banking clients is looking for an experienced IT Business Consultant (BA/PCO) to join their growing B2B/T&O team. This is a long-term opportunity with strong potential for extension and full‑time conversion.

Job Title: IT Business Consultant (Business Analyst / Project Control Officer)

Location: Hybrid in Downtown Toronto (1 day/week onsite; more onsite during training)

Duration: 2 Years

Pay Rate: $40–$50/hour on INC

About the Role

You will support transformation, automation, reporting, and decision-making initiatives across a large, collaborative team (50–60 people). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys data-driven insights, project tracking, and building analytics/reporting solutions that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Convert raw data into meaningful dashboards, reports, and insights
Design, develop, and deploy business analytics solutions
Clean/filter data and review performance indicators
Track team initiatives and prepare weekly stakeholder updates
Gather business requirements and conduct independent analysis
Develop data collection strategies to improve efficiency
Support onboarding/offboarding and Market Data service requests
Create documentation for analysis supportability
Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities
Facilitate discussions and communicate with stakeholders
Work independently on complex tasks and unique situations

Must-Have Skills

2–3 years of Business Analyst & PCO experience
Advanced Excel + strong MS Office skills
Experience with MS Planner, MS Project, or similar tools
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to shape data into reporting/analytics solutions
Excellent verbal & written communication
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Intermediate/advanced Excel (non-negotiable)

Nice-to-Have Skills

Banking/financial industry experience
Automation/implementation experience
Knowledge of AI
Post-secondary degree in a related field
