🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Software Engineer (Java | React | Spring Boot | Kubernetes) – Remote (Canada)

Amyantek is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a 6-month contract with Sun Life, with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role.

📍 Location: Greater Toronto Area / Waterloo (95% Remote)

💻 Client: Sun Life
📅 Start Date: September 21
🕒 Duration: 6 Months (Maternity Leave Coverage)

What You’ll Do
Support and enhance enterprise Java applications in production and test environments.
Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot services deployed on Kubernetes.
Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive system stability.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and global teams.
Participate in continuous improvement, security remediation, upgrades, and disaster recovery initiatives.

✅ 10+ years of Java application development & production support

Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Must be eligible for Canadian Protected B (Reliability Clearance) (minimum 5 consecutive years residing in Canada)
