Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Xstore Developer to design, develop, customize, and support Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle Xstore architecture, retail business processes, POS integrations, and Java-based development. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, QA teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable and high-performing retail solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and customize Oracle Xstore POS applications based on business and operational requirements.
Configure and implement Xstore modules including POS, Store Inventory Management, and Back Office functionality.
Develop custom extensions, enhancements, and integrations using Java and Oracle Retail development frameworks.
Integrate Xstore with enterprise systems such as ERP platforms, payment processors, loyalty systems, and inventory management solutions.
Participate in solution design, technical architecture discussions, and development planning.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
Support end-to-end implementation activities including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Assist with Xstore upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and retail operations stakeholders.
Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support guides.
Ensure security, compliance, and operational standards are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Xstore development experience.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Retail Xstore POS architecture and framework.
Experience configuring and customizing Xstore POS, Back Office, and Store Inventory modules.
Proficiency in Java development and object-oriented programming principles.
Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise application integrations.
Strong understanding of retail POS systems, store operations, inventory management, and retail workflows.
Experience with XML, JSON, web services, and middleware integrations.
Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle Database and SQL development.
Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting enterprise retail applications.
Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and CI/CD deployment processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Oracle Retail Suite and related retail applications.
Knowledge of payment integrations, loyalty systems, and omnichannel retail environments.
Experience supporting cloud-based or hybrid retail environments.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Prior experience working with large-scale retail organizations.
Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
Exposure to Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB).
Experience with store systems modernization initiatives.
Oracle Retail or related certifications.
