Sr QA Automation Engineer

🚀 Senior QA Automation Engineer (E2E Framework Builder | Hands-On Lead)
💰 $88–$96/hr | 📍 Hybrid (2 days onsite) Pickering | 🕒 12-month contract
We’re looking for a true automation builder—someone who doesn’t just use frameworks, but creates them from the ground up.
This role is ideal for a hands-on QA Automation expert / SDET / Automation Architect who thrives on designing end-to-end (E2E) test automation frameworks and setting the technical direction for quality engineering.
🔥 What you’ll do
Build scalable E2E automation frameworks from scratch
Define automation strategy across UI, API, integration, and regression testing
Lead thinking around edge cases, test coverage, and automation design
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub)
Drive quality improvements through smart, modern testing approaches
Mentor teams and act as a technical automation lead
🛠️ What you bring
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, REST APIs
Programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
Deep knowledge of TDD/BDD frameworks (TestNG, Cucumber)
Experience building automation frameworks from scratch (E2E ownership)
CI/CD integration experience (GitHub pipelines)
Ability to think beyond scripts and design testing architecture
