Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. IT Project Manager-Payments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead multiple high-profile payments projects within a dynamic banking environment. Pay rate range (CAD): $75.00/hr – $85.00/hr
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee multiple payments-related projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, milestones, resource planning, and risk management strategies.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues promptly, and communicate updates to stakeholders and executive management.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure adherence to organizational standards and methodologies.
Manage project budgets ranging from $500K to $10M, tracking expenses and ensuring fiscal accountability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery processes and methodologies.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, including vendors and third-party providers.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on delivery timelines and outcomes.
Stay updated on payments technology developments and incorporate best practices into project execution.
Desired Skill-Set
Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of payments lifecycle processes (purchase to withdrawal) and associated technologies like Visa, Mastercard, etc.
Exceptional project management skills with a track record of managing budgets and delivering complex projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Full ownership and accountability mindset with a proactive approach.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice to Have
Certification in project management (PMP, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Previous experience with multi-year transformation projects.
Knowledge of payment compliance standards and regulations.
Experience working in remote or hybrid teams.
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or Asana.
