Intermediate & Senior Engineering Technologist/ Mechanical Engineers

Position: Intermediate & Senior Engineering Technologist/ Mechanical Engineers Client: Canada’s largest shipbuilding clients Type: PERM – FULL-TIME Location: 5 days in office Ottawa Downtown Number of openings: 12+ Intermediate technologist salary band: $75,000-$90,000 Intermediate engineer salary band: $100,000-$115,000 (must hold P.Eng) Senior technologist salary band: $90,000-$110,000 Senior engineer salary band: $115,000-$135,000 (P.Eng mandatory) Required Skills & Experience – Completion of a diploma from a 3-year technical program OR an undergraduate university degree in Engineering – 2-5+ years of experience within shipbuilding, marine, or shipbuilding design. – Proficiency in ShipConstructor OR strong CAD experience with 3D modeling. – Experience interpreting engineering drawings, class rules, and marine standards. -Reliability clearance – 5 years living in Canada – PR holder (preferably no longer than 6 month living out of the country) Nice to Have Skills & Experience – Strong understanding of shipbuilding systems, marine piping, HVAC routing, and equipment layout principles. – Experience working with naval warships, or within the defence or shipbuilding sectors. – Knowledge of shipyard manufacturing processes and installation methods
