Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst/CMA. This position offers the opportunity to provide governance for portfolio management, conduct business analysis, and deliver impactful insights to senior stakeholders within a collaborative and supportive team environment. The role is based in Toronto, with a flexible hybrid schedule, and involves engaging with large data sets, developing financial models, and owning critical processes.
Pay rate range (CAD): $32.61/hr – $39.13/hr
Responsibilities
Analyze portfolio data to support governance and reporting for CIO portfolios
Prepare and present monthly updates to senior stakeholders using PowerPoint dashboards
Conduct business case and financial analyses to inform decision-making
Own and improve existing processes related to portfolio management and analysis
Work independently to connect data points and generate actionable insights
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Manage large data sets and perform detailed financial analysis to support project objectives
Desired Skill-Set
3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis or finance within a corporate environment
Proven expertise in financial analysis and business case development
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivots and data manipulation
Strong communication skills, capable of presenting to business leaders
Comfortable working in unstructured environments with minimal supervision
Autonomous, proactive, with a keen eagerness to learn and grow
Expert-level PowerPoint skills to develop comprehensive reports
Ability to handle large data sets and extract meaningful insights
Nice to Have
Experience within the banking or financial industry
Recent graduates with a strong drive to develop a career in financial analysis and technology
Combining finance knowledge with technical skills in data analysis and visualization
Familiarity with technology tools used in financial and portfolio management
Certifications related to accounting, such as CMA (not CPA or auditor), are preferred
