Toronto QA Automation / SDET professionals — here’s a strong contract opportunity to work on a high-impact banking technology project with a high possibility of extension and potential FTE conversion.

💼 Role: QA Automation Engineer / SDET
📍 Location: Toronto – Hybrid, 3 days onsite
📅 Contract: May 2026 – October 2026
🔁 Extension: High possibility

What you’ll be owning:
🔹 Building and enhancing reusable test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications
🔹 Writing clean automation scripts using Java and/or JavaScript
🔹 Performing API testing using Postman / REST
🔹 Driving regression testing, defect tracking, and root cause analysis
🔹 Partnering with developers, delivery leads, and cross-functional teams to improve product quality
🔹 Communicating blockers, risks, testing progress, and status updates clearly

What we’re looking for:
✅ 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience
✅ Strong automation experience across both web and mobile applications
✅ Strong coding ability in Java or JavaScript
✅ 2+ years of recent API testing experience, preferably with Postman
✅ Ability to take ownership with minimal handholding
✅ Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:
⭐ Exposure to AI in testing / automation
⭐ Rest Assured experience
⭐ Database validation experience

The ideal candidate is someone who is genuinely hands-on, can write real automation scripts, works well with cross-functional teams, and brings an automation-first mindset.
