Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a QE Tester – Legacy System Migration & API Testing (Banking). The successful candidate will support a critical banking system migration, ensuring data accuracy, seamless integration, and smooth transitioning from legacy IBM systems to modern platforms.

Pay rate (CAD): $47.10/hr – $56.52/hr

Responsibilities

Execute API testing for newly built and migrated services, ensuring functionality and performance meet specifications
Run and validate existing test scripts to confirm migration flows and data integrity
Verify data accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation across multiple systems during migration phases
Support system integration testing (SIT) and migration testing cycles, tracking and documenting defects
Collaborate closely with developers, QA leads, and business stakeholders within an Agile environment
Assist internal application delivery teams in end-to-end validation processes
Identify, log, and track defects through resolution to ensure quality standards are met
Desired Skill-Set

4-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering / QA Testing within banking or financial services
Strong expertise in API testing (REST services or equivalent)
Proven ability to execute manual and/or automated test scripts
Solid understanding of banking products such as Loans, RRSPs, GICs
Experience working on data or system migration projects, with an emphasis on data validation and reconciliation
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
Experience with internal enterprise applications
Nice to Have

Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools
Involvement in large-scale migration or modernization initiatives
