Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Application Support Specialist for a leading banking client in Toronto. This role requires strong Linux/UNIX expertise, excellent communication skills, and hands-on Autosys experience.
Location: Bay Street, Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week)
Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extensions)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Market Rate
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide L2/L3 production support in a high-availability environment
– Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Linux/UNIX systems
– Manage and monitor Autosys job scheduling
– Prioritize incidents based on business impact and urgency
– Communicate effectively with stakeholders and business teams
– Perform SQL queries for issue investigation
– Support cloud-based applications (Azure/AWS)
– Coordinate recovery during production outages
Must Have:
– 5–10 years of Application Support experience
– Strong Linux/UNIX administration & troubleshooting (MANDATORY)
– Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
– Hands-on Autosys experience (MANDATORY)
– Microsoft Azure experience (must-have)
– SQL (SQL Server / Oracle)
– Experience with AWS
– ServiceNow / Jira / Confluence
Nice to Have:
– OpenShift / CAAS environments
– Scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell)
– Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
– DevOps exposure (Jenkins, Git, Ansible)
– ITIL knowledge
