Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Delivery Project Manager – Waterfall. This position involves leading large-scale, high-budget application development projects primarily following Waterfall methodologies, with some Agile components. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage large-scale IT projects with budgets exceeding $5 million annually
Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to deployment, ensuring adherence to SDLC processes
Be actively involved in day-to-day delivery activities, managing project scope, schedule, and resources
Engage in detailed project tracking, risk identification, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution
Collaborate closely with the delivery team and stakeholders to clarify requirements and challenge assumptions
Validate project financials and estimates, questioning any inconsistencies or overestimations
Proactively push teams to meet deadlines and improve project outcomes
Report on project status accurately and transparently to senior management
Ensure delivery discipline and accountability within the project team
Desired Skill-Set

Extensive experience managing large IT projects with budgets over $5 million
Strong knowledge of SDLC in enterprise environments, primarily Waterfall with exposure to Agile practices
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex organization
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to hold teams accountable
Detail-oriented, proactive, and delivery-focused mindset
Ability to ask insightful questions and challenge assumptions constructively
Hands-on approach to project management and daily delivery oversight
Nice to Have

Experience working in a financial or regulated industry
Knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
