Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst – Counter Party Credit Risk/Collateral. This position involves analyzing and improving operational processes related to collateral management, with a focus on automation, digitization, and AI-enabled efficiencies. The role offers an opportunity to work on innovative solutions that enhance operational excellence within a regulatory compliant framework.

Pay rate range (CAD): $45.65/hr – $54.78/hr

Responsibilities

Deliver and continuously improve collateral management processes, emphasizing automation, digitization, and AI tools
Act as a trusted advisor to the business, influencing and negotiating to achieve objectives
Analyze issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements aligned with business strategy
Identify emerging trends and issues, supporting strategic decision-making
Support strategic initiatives by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate effectively with business partners and clients, responding to inquiries and ensuring stakeholder alignment
Consolidate information from multiple sources to streamline reporting and analysis
Resolve issues promptly, escalating when necessary
Lead or participate in change management activities, including stakeholder engagement and readiness assessments
Develop and manage programs to improve operational effectiveness, reviewing and enhancing them based on industry trends
Design tools and training programs, including delivering training sessions as needed
Support vendor solutions, including implementation and ongoing maintenance
Ensure accurate, timely processing of transactions while managing regulatory and risk controls
Maintain regulatory compliance and operational integrity in all processes
Provide expert consulting, technical, and analytical support, working independently on non-routine issues
Apply risk management principles, making informed decisions that protect assets and align with risk appetite
Desired Skill-Set

3-5+ years of relevant financial services experience with a focus on credit risk and collateral management
Knowledge of OTC derivatives, repos, and counterparty credit risk concepts
Experience with process re-engineering and automation, including workflows and reporting platforms
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements affecting collateral and credit risk operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with AI and automation tools (e.g., MS Power Automate, MS Power BI, Copilot)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have

Margin call experience
Familiarity with digital AI tools and AI governance practices
Experience with workflow automation platforms and data analytics tools
Knowledge of risk management frameworks and compliance standards
