Application Analyst – Intermediate
Remote (Edmonton, Alberta) | Open to Canadian Contractors
$40–$60 per hour | 12-Month Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Application Analyst (Intermediate) to support the Enterprise Database Archival Service running on the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP Public Cloud).
If you have strong experience in Big Data, Azure infrastructure, and enterprise application support, this opportunity could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting and maintaining CDP Public Cloud (upgrades, patching, system maintenance)
Troubleshooting issues across Big Data and Azure infrastructure
Managing access, incidents, and changes via ServiceNow
Administering CDP components, including Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Warehouse & Data Visualization
Supporting environment,s including:
HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Ranger
SSSD, FreeIPA, Azure IDP
Azure Kubernetes Service
Azure PostgreSQL (Single/Flexible)
Managing Azure VMs, storage, networking, identities, quotas & cost analysis
Designing dashboards and building optimized data warehouses and lakes
Gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions

Required Experience (4+ Years Each)
Cloudera Data Platform / Big Data platforms
Azure Infrastructure & Services
Big Data & Business Intelligence
CDP Public Cloud upgrade/patching
Data Warehouse & Reporting tools
Kubernetes clusters & Linux (RHEL)
Nice to Have (2+ Years):
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Azure subscription & cost management
Dashboard/report development
