OVERVIEW: As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the transformation of our digital workplace as a trusted advisor to business units, by supporting user-centric strategies that enhance productivity, collaboration, and employee engagement through modern technology platforms while maintaining strong standards for safety, governance, and responsible use of technology.

You will support frictionless communication and collaboration, foster best practices for content and knowledge management, and help improve personal productivity across devices and applications. Your role focuses on supporting workplace collaboration, productivity, communications, and automation while driving adoption of Microsoft 365 technologies, enabling citizen development, and supporting a Center of Excellence to support our organization’s digital transformation journey.

In this hybrid role, you will work from either our Edmonton and or Calgary location and have flexibility to work from home.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Digital Enablement & AI Adoption
Support broad adoption of Microsoft 365, Copilot, and related productivity tools by acting as a trusted advisor to business units in identifying pain points and uncovering opportunities.
Deliver high-touch (“white-glove”) enablement through the Digital Workplace Center of Excellence by facilitating or supporting workshops, discovery sessions, working groups, and Communities of Practice, while guiding teams in responsible and effective self-serve use of digital tools like Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI, and Copilot.
Coach employees to embed AI into daily workflows (summarizing, drafting, analysis, task automation).
Identify use cases GenAI or low code automation can remove repetitive work or accelerate processes.
Workflow transformation by analyzing current and future-state business processes to recommend more efficient, and digitally enabled workflows aligned with organizational goals and best practices across Microsoft 365, Copilot and Power Platform.
Coach business units on safe, responsible use of GenAI and adherence to enterprise governance.
Assist in delivering persona-based enablement that guides employees on “how to use the right tool for the task.”
Track enablement and adoption metrics, including M365 usage, Copilot usage, time savings, and productivity improvements.
Learning & Capability Development
Partner with Learning & Development to deliver persona-based training programs.
Support delivery of Microsoft “In-a-Day” formats and virtual learning (Copilot, M365, Power BI).
Contribute to creation of gamified, persona specific learning pathways.
Provide support towards continuous enablement to teams at varied levels of digital maturity.
Help maintain best practices, learning materials, learning libraries, adoption materials and the Digital Workplace Hub.
Monitor training participation, completion rates, and learner progress.
Hybrid Collaboration & Workspace Optimization
Assess collaboration pain points across Teams, Planner, OneDrive, SharePoint, and virtual whiteboarding.
Provide guidance on best practices for hybrid meetings and async collaboration.
Support modernization of meeting rooms and digital tools to ensure remote + in‑office parity.
Coach teams on new ways of working (meeting etiquette, file sharing, co‑authoring, asynchronous communication).
Surface issues and improvement opportunities to Manager, Digital Workplace to ensure unified employee experiences.
Help measure collaboration friction, tool issues, and adoption patterns.
Contribute to the goal of a seamless collaboration environment aligned to workflows.
Innovation Activation & Governance
Assist with running the innovation framework and program
Support the intake, prioritization, and evaluation of innovation ideas and digital pilots.
Lead intake, scoping, analysis, and orchestration of POV’s and use cases across M365, Copilot, Power Platform, AI, and process mining.
Assist in coordinating sprint based or gated pilot processes, including problem framing, defining success criteria, and wrap-ups.
Ensure pilots follow required governance, including AI, privacy, compliance, and risk guidelines.
Document use cases, POVs, lessons learned, and scale‑up recommendations.
Maintain pilot dashboards, idea pipelines, and value tracking.
Support the Digital Workplace governance model through structured documentation and playbooks.
Help teams participate in responsible experimentation while ensuring organizational safety.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

A related degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology and related experience is required.
Ten years total experience in: Business Analysis or Digital Workplace / Collaboration / Enterprise Productivity platforms.
Five years plus specifically at a senior or lead level, owning initiatives end‑to‑end.
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc., with experience leveraging these tools to design, document, and improve business workflows.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both the user community and technical teams.
Strong facilitation skills that will be utilized in conducting user workshops to define requirements.
Experience detailing and documenting requirements from the business teams and effectively communicate those requirements to the technical teams.
Working knowledge of/experience with Project Management body of knowledge and AGILE methodologies would be beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Decision-making ability and demonstrated leadership potential is essential.
Demonstrated ability to pay persistent attention to detail, while maintaining an overall view of the situation and the big picture.
Ability to multitask and meet the challenges of a fast-paced changing environment.
Certifications in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Azure are an asset.
