Sr. Technical Engineer 🔌 ⚡ – HYBRID (2 days remote) Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified SR level Design Engineer with experience in the Engineering Change Control (ECC) process within power generation to join our team. Applicants from all engineering disciplines are welcome, including: – Mechanical – Civil – Electrical – Instrumentation & Controls Key Responsibilities: Lead and/or support the development, review, and implementation of engineering design changes, modifications, and upgrades in accordance with the ECC process Prepare, review, and approve engineering documents (specifications, calculations, drawings, technical reports) ensuring compliance with regulatory and power generation standards Perform technical assessments Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers Ensure engineering work is completed with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Controls) from a recognized institution Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for registration with the provincial regulator Design Engineer qualification (mandatory) Demonstrated experience with the Engineering Change Control (ECC) process in power generation Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial environments Experience with engineering standards, regulatory codes, and procedures (asset) Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, AssetSuite, engineering calculation tools) $68.00 – $78.00 p/h inc.
