🔍 About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to support a major Ontario Government initiative (IFIS in Cloud). The role focuses on Oracle BI and Analytics solutions, including design, development, optimization, and migration of enterprise BI environments. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise and experience working in public-sector, security-driven environments.
✅ Must-Have Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle BI technologies
Strong expertise in OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), ODI, SQL, APEX
Experience building high-performance, high-volume BI and analytics solutions
Solid background in data integration, data cleansing, and ETL
Experience with PII identification and data masking
Strong understanding of BI, Data Warehousing, and Data Modeling concepts
Experience working with Oracle ERP / Oracle E-Business Suite is an asset
Ability to work onsite in Toronto and comply with Ontario Government security standards
🧩 Key Responsibilities
Validate business requirements and update functional/technical design documents
Design, build, enhance, and optimize OBIEE and OAC reports, dashboards, and semantic layers
Retrofit and optimize ETL scripts and BI solutions
Perform fit/gap analysis and prepare impact assessments and implementation plans
Set up development environments and build prototypes
Test BI reports, dashboards, and OBIEE BAR files
Ensure compliance with Ontario Government security, architecture, and IT standards
Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to OPS teams
🎯 Nice to Have
Experience with OBIA pre-built content and customization
Knowledge of Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Oracle Cloud
ITIL-based support / Hypercare experience
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
