Salary: $75–$80/hr (12-month contract)

\About the Role:
Join a leading nuclear power team and apply your HFE expertise in a high-impact, safety-critical environment! We’re looking for skilled Human Factors Engineers to manage and assess HFE deliverables for large-scale refurbishment projects, including Retube & Feeder Replacement, Turbine Generators, and Balance of Plant modifications.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and review HFE Program Plans aligned with NUREG-0700.
Conduct HFE analyses: task analysis, workload assessment, function allocation, usability testing, and validation of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
Collaborate with EPC vendors and internal teams across all phases: design, installation, commissioning, and close-out.
Provide SME recommendations on HFE documents and support regulatory compliance.
Support aggregate staffing impact analysis to ensure safe unit operation.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven HFE experience in nuclear power (CANDU experience a plus).
Knowledge of HFE Program elements per NUREG-0700.
Qualified under OPG’s Nuclear Design Engineering program as a “Design Engineer of Human-Machine Interfaces.”
Strong skills in HMI design, HFE verification & validation, and usability testing.
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and safety-focused mindset.
