This is a contract position for a banking  commercial cards Project Manager with a banking client in  Toronto, Canada.The candidate needs to have valid work visa and attend the office 2-3 days a week in Toronto.Please share updated resume at bijaya.padhi@firstvibe.ca

Project & Program Management: Lead the planning, execution, and final delivery of major strategic programs involving technology, business processes, risk/policy, operations, and change management.
Methodology & Governance: Formulate project plans using a combination of Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Ensure adherence to governance and process frameworks and maintain meticulous project documentation.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, clients, and third-party vendors. Manage external vendors to ensure deliverables align with SOWs (Statements of Work) and drive alignment across multiple internal Lines of Business (LOBs).
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, document, and mitigate project risks, actions, and issues (RAID logs).
Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, track costs, and oversee resource allocation, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all projects meet banking regulations, data privacy, and financial reporting standards.
Communication: Deliver comprehensive project status reports and executive-level communications to report on milestones, dependencies, and potential risks.

A Project Manager in the Banking Commercial Cards sector with 10-15 years of experience in Toronto typically involves leading complex, large-scale strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring project delivery within scope, time, and budget while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Own full project lifecycle for Commercial Card programs (e.g., new product launches, platform integrations, issuing enhancements)
Partner with Product, Tech, Operations, Finance, Legal, AML/KYC, and vendor teams
Define scope, requirements, business rules, use cases, and data flows; guide stakeholder analysis Manage budgets, resource plans, schedules, tests, deployments, and escalations
Mitigate risks, control changes, and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., FATCA, CRS, TAX, payment network rules
Deliver executive reports, KPIs, and maintain PMO governance standards
Mentor junior PMs and champion best practices in Agile/Waterfall/PMBOK
