IBM Transaction Manager (FTM)

Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of transaction processing solutions utilizing IBM Transaction Manager (FTM).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of FTM with core banking systems, middleware, and enterprise applications.
Configure, administer, and optimize IBM FTM environments to meet performance and reliability requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex transaction processing issues, minimizing system downtimes and ensuring data integrity.
Develop and enforce best practices for transaction management, system security, and compliance standards.
Document technical specifications, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team members during project phases.
Coordinate testing, deployment, and post-implementation support for transaction systems.
Stay updated on industry trends, FTM updates, and emerging technologies relevant to transaction processing.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience with IBM Transaction Manager (FTM) – 4+ years in design, configuration, and administration.
Strong understanding of transaction processing systems within banking or financial environments.
Experience integrating IBM FTM with core banking applications, middleware, and other enterprise systems.
Familiarity with WebSphere, MQ, SOAP/REST APIs, and other related technologies.
Knowledge of database systems (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server) for transaction data handling.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
