🔍 Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced UNIX Midrange Support Specialist (Intermediate Level) to join our team for a multi-year engagement supporting critical IT infrastructure. This is a remote-first role based in Regina, SK, with occasional onsite sessions as needed. You will play a key role in the day-to-day administration, management, and support of our UNIX systems, while also contributing to projects involving Microsoft Server and Azure environments.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
Provide Unix/Linux system administration across Red Hat, SuSe, and AIX platforms
Manage server and application maintenance in UNIX and Microsoft Azure environments
Support storage (IBM/NetApp) and backup (NetBackup) operations
Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides
Ensure system security and proper permissions management
Provide technical support, issue resolution, and on-call support
Deliver training or walkthroughs for users on system updates or changes
🧠 Qualifications & Experience:
3–5 years of hands-on experience in Unix system administration (Red Hat, AIX, SuSe)
Experience with Microsoft Server and Azure Administration
Familiarity with IBM or NetApp storage systems and NetBackup solutions
Strong skills in technical documentation and communication
Experience in security management and system permissions
Ability to work independently and handle on-call responsibilities
🎓 Preferred Requirements:
Related technical diploma or degree (2–4 years)
Certified Professional Designations in UNIX/Linux/Azure (preferred but not mandatory)
