We’re seeking a skilled UNIX Midrange Support Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract. This role is offsite (remote), with the possibility of occasional onsite work in Regina, SK (4 weeks’ advance notice will be given). This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-level infrastructure initiatives across UNIX, Azure, and Microsoft environments.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Daily administration, support, and management of UNIX environments (Red Hat, AIX, SuSe)
Provide support for storage (IBM/NetApp) and backup systems (NetBackup)
Assist in administration of Microsoft Server and Azure environments
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides
Implement and manage system security, permissions, and compliance protocols
Deliver technical support, perform root cause analysis, and ensure smooth server operations
Conduct user training and provide onboarding support for new systems or updates
✅ Must-Have Skills:
3–5 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat, AIX, and SuSe UNIX platforms
Experience with Azure Administration and Microsoft Server
Strong knowledge of technical documentation and user training delivery
Familiarity with storage solutions (IBM / NetApp) and backup tools (NetBackup)
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and system security management skills
⭐ Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in system administration or related field
2–4 years of formal education (technical college or university)
