Your New Role
As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of electrical projects—from pre-planning and estimating to execution and close-out. You’ll lead project teams, collaborate with clients, suppliers, engineers, and planners, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry contacts.
Marketing the company’s services and advising clients on innovative products and solutions.
Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and projects.
Leading pre-construction planning and ensuring successful on-site implementation.
Managing contracts, quotations, tenders, and subcontractor agreements.
Coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials, and ensuring timely procurement.
Enforcing safety policies and quality standards, and providing training and mentorship.
Overseeing project documentation, billing, forecasting, and reporting.
Driving profitability and cashflow through strategic planning and execution.
Leading by example to foster a motivated, accountable, and high-performing team.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen:
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in electrical construction.
Certification as an electrician’s journeyman or a relevant degree/diploma.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
Sales, marketing, and networking capabilities.
Proficiency in project management and engineering software.
PEng or EIT certification in electrical/power engineering is an asset.
Knowledge of the data/communication industry is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
