I’m currently partnering with a dynamic and growing organization based in Toronto, looking for a permanent Accounting Manager to join their close-knit finance team!

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Finance and oversee the daily financial operations of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

– Leading full-cycle accounting, including monthly and year-end reporting

– Managing payroll oversight for 25–30 employees

– Handling intricate billing tied to broadcast calendar schedules

– Cash flow reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

– Overseeing compliance (including HST/federal tax) and supporting audit prep

– Developing and improving accounting policies and processes

– Reviewing team outputs, providing mentorship, and stepping in as needed

Qualifications

– A strong foundation in accounting (CPA designation preferred)

– 5+ years of progressive experience, including leadership/supervisory exposure

– Solid understanding of ASPE (and ideally some familiarity with U.S. GAAP or payroll/tax)

– Experience using QuickBooks Online and intermediate Excel skills

– Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

– A self-starter with EQ, who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes initiative
