About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist to join our dynamic team for an exciting contract opportunity in Toronto, Ontario. This role will provide support for a critical platform that hosts several applications, including a Case Management System, an Integrated Employment Services (IES) initiative, and various public-facing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Application Releases: Oversee the planned cycle of 12 monthly releases, including comprehensive build and testing in pre-production to ensure seamless deployment to production.
Application Operations, Maintenance, and Support: Manage production and non-production environments, including availability checks, troubleshooting high-priority issues, service requests, incidents, change requests, deployments, configuration, and ongoing support.

Technology Upgrades: Facilitate technology upgrades for business-critical applications to keep systems current and aligned with organizational needs.

Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience in application support, build and test, production deployment, change requests, and release management.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, CLI, VBScript, and JavaScript.
Strong SQL skills for data and system analysis, including verifying data integrity in databases.
Experience with n-tier web-based applications, database technologies, and tools such as CURAM, Adobe Experience Manager, SAP BOE, Oracle, and Windows/Linux.
Proven track record in post-deployment verification for both monthly and urgent/unplanned releases.

Business Skills & Methodologies:
10+ years of experience supporting n-tier web-based applications and business-critical systems.
Working knowledge of business process analysis techniques and SDLC methodologies for business applications.
Expertise in ITIL-based production application support, including incident and change management, deployment, support, and upgrades.
Familiarity with Quality Assurance and testing methodologies.
Communication Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and solutions.
Proven ability to collaborate closely with business and IT teams.
Demonstrated ability to innovate and conceptualize new solutions to complex problems.
