Position: Senior Oracle DBA & Technical Lead
Location: Onsite, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Employment Type: Full-Time contract
Key Responsibilities:
Expert Scripting: Utilize your advanced skills in SQL, VBScript, Python, and PowerShell to automate and optimize solutions.
Technical Leadership: Lead teams in tackling broad, diverse challenges. Provide technical expertise in problem-solving and coordinate mid-to-large projects.
Database Management: Oversee complex Oracle DB environments, including patching, updates, and monitoring. Manage Oracle RAC, Oracle Golden Gate, and Oracle 19c systems on-premises and in the cloud.
Project Leadership: Identify and evaluate IT options for clients. Develop infrastructure solutions and guide teams in executing large-scale projects.
Customer-Focused Solutions: Offer cost-effective solutions while providing exceptional service, troubleshooting, and technical support to meet operational needs
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:
Oracle DBA
10+ years of experience managing Oracle DBs, including architecture, installation, upgrade, and patching of Oracle 12c, 19c, 21c+, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle Golden Gate, and Oracle Analytics Server.
Scripting Expertise
10+ years of experience in SQL, VBScript, PowerShell, and Python to drive automation and performance improvements.
Troubleshooting & Debugging
10+ years of experience diagnosing issues and debugging database design flaws to ensure optimal system functionality.
OS Knowledge
Solid working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
Communication & Collaboration
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Additional Desired Skills:
Strong experience with DB2 and SQL Servers.
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 13.4) experience, including report creation and customization.
Experience working with Cloud infrastructure and modern development practices.
Excellent project management skills focused on cost control, problem-solving, and delivering successful outcomes.
