Data Engineer with GCP experience

Are you a Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)? We are currently hiring for a position in downtown Toronto with a hybrid work setup.

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have Skills:
– 8-10 years of data engineering experience, focusing on performance optimization for large OLTP applications
– Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) developer
– Proficiency with relational/NoSQL databases for over 5 years
– Experience with primary managed data services within GCP like DataProc, Dataflow, BigQuery/DBT, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, Cloud Pub/Sub (2-3 years)
– Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform Databases (SQL, Spanner, PostgreSQL) for 1-2 years
– Exposure to data streaming technologies such as Kafka, Spark-streaming (1-2 years)

Nice-To-Have Skills:
– Ability to develop and scale JAVA REST services, utilizing frameworks like Spring
– Understanding of Wealth business line and essential data domains for comprehensive solutions
– Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, including frameworks like Terraform
– Knowledge of Java microservices and Spring Boot
