Training for freshers:

๐ฎ๐ณ Most companies hire & train the freshers ๐
Work life balance:
๐จ๐ฆ Far better, employers respect your personal time off and work life balance ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Certain managers doesn’t respect work life balance of employees ๐
Personal Time Off:

๐ฎ๐ณ Sick days are limited & most of time, employee gets official calls during their personal time off. ๐

Technically Skilled people:

EI:
๐จ๐ฆ If you lose a job, you will get employment insurance from the govt (a part of your salary) to survive ๐

Full time vs Contract:
๐จ๐ฆ Contract jobs are popular in IT industry. Skilled resources prefer contract over full time because of multiple reasons. ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Everyone prefers full time jobs. Contract jobs are not in demand. ๐
Salary:
๐จ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ณ Skilled labor gets good package in both places ๐
Job Security:
๐จ๐ฆ In Canada, its 2 weeks hiring, 2 weeks firing ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Better job security compared to Canada ๐
Experience:
๐จ๐ฆ Experienced candidates are much safer ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ In service industry, we have seen that senior resources are easily laid off & replaced. Service industry tends to hire more junior level employees ๐
Cost of Living:
It is very hard to compare this because of various differences. Hence I will provide the details of what i think. Yes, cost of living is high in both the countries based on city you live. ๐
House prices:
๐จ๐ฆ Housing market is a bubble and very expensive. Tough to survive without both husband and wife working. ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ House prices remains stable when compared to Canada ๐
Places to Live:
๐จ๐ฆ IT job market focuses on few cities. ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ IT job market is widely spread across the country ๐
Healthcare cost:
๐จ๐ฆ Out of pocket expense is zero. It is covered by provincial insurance for most of the cases ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Most of the IT companies have group insurance coverage. Hence its covered as part of the insurance coverage. Even private insurances are cheaper compared to Canada ๐
Healthcare Quality:
๐จ๐ฆ It is tough to get specialist appointments. Sometimes, even emergency walk in wait period is hours. ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Most places in India have good healthcare facility. You have options to visit any hospitals, clinics or specialists without wait period. Emergency cases are handled very quicker compared to Canada ๐
Social Life:
Even though ๐จ๐ฆ is one of the best places to live in the world, I believe social life in ๐ฎ๐ณ is 10 times better. When you are living in Canada, you may miss all the family get together, events, friends etc.
Weather:
๐จ๐ฆ It gets too cold for 4-5 months an year ๐ฅถ
๐ฎ๐ณ It is pretty warm (hot) climate in most of the places ๐ซ
Travel:
๐จ๐ฆ Easier to travel across places ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Travel is a bit hectic ๐
Public transport:
๐จ๐ฆ Very good public transport in the cities. Outside of the city, less public transport ๐
๐ฎ๐ณ Public transport is good across urban, rural areas. You don’t need a car ๐
