Technical Writer (Public Sector)

$35–$50/hour (Canadian Contractors)
Active Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance is Required
The project is involving mission-critical enterprise IT systems.

You’ll be responsible for:

Technical documentation (design docs, user guides, test plans, training materials & deployment guides)
Government of Canada documentation standards
Working with project managers, architects, developers & technical teams
Meeting minutes, Records of Decision (RODs), briefing notes & progress reports
Supporting bilingual (English/French) documentation and release processes

We’re looking for professionals with:
3 years within the last 5+ years of technical writing experience in large, complex IT environments
Experience producing enterprise application documentation
Government of Canada or public sector project experience
Knowledge of version control, release management, and structured documentation practices
Experience supporting cloud, integrated, or mission-critical systems
