Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Technical Writer to support the remediation and development of operational risk policy documents. In this position, you will leverage existing policies, ensure alignment with current standards, and craft clear, comprehensive documentation to uphold operational risk management frameworks. Responsibilities
Support the review, remediation, and uplift of operational risk policy documents to align with updated frameworks and regulatory standards
Leverage existing policy documentation, mapping it to current BMO policies and frameworks
Draft new policy and end-user documentation from scratch, ensuring clarity and compliance
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and incorporate feedback into policies and procedures
Assist in maintaining a consistent and cohesive policy documentation framework across operational risk functions
Desired Skill-Set
Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial services or banking, with a focus on policy development and documentation
Proven ability to write, review, and revise complex policy documents and end-user manuals
Strong understanding of operational risk management principles and frameworks
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to interpret existing policies and translate technical requirements into clear documentation
Nice to Have
Experience in policy remediation and uplift projects within banking or financial services
Familiarity with best practices in policy governance and regulatory compliance
Previous involvement in cross-functional policy alignment efforts
Knowledge of industry standards such as Basel, ISO, or other risk management frameworks
