Technical Analyst – 4
Location: Toronto – Hybrid (onsite up to 4 days per week)
Contract Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension and full-time conversion)
Schedule: 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday (or Tuesday–Saturday); 37.5 hours per week (possible overtime)
Role Overview
The Bank is seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to provide support within enterprise Linux and Unix environments. The role involves operational support, project work, automation, and collaboration with vendors to resolve complex system issues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for enterprise operating systems (Linux and Unix)
Lead and participate in projects including system currency upgrades
Manage privileged access and ensure security standards
Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Ansible)
Deliver production-level support and resolve major incidents
Create and maintain technical documentation
Collaborate with support vendors to troubleshoot hardware and operating system issues
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst
5+ years of experience with Solaris OS
5+ years of experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
5+ years of experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Cluster Server
Strong working knowledge of ZFS, disk management with zpool, Solaris Volume Manager, and LVM
Preferred Skills
Experience with Ansible automation
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python)
Prior experience within a major Canadian bank

Education
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Selection Process
One interview round with a technical panel (1 hour via MS Teams or in-person)
Assessment will focus on technical expertise and problem-solving skills
