Job Title: Team Lead / Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 1–2 days in office)
Salary Range: $130,000–$150,000 CAD
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role:
Are you a hands-on IT leader ready to take ownership of enterprise infrastructure? We’re looking for a Team Lead / Infrastructure Engineer to guide a small team of engineers while keeping our on-prem systems, networking, storage, virtualization, and production operations running flawlessly. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership, technical expertise, and operational impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of infrastructure specialists.
Own day-to-day operations across servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and backup systems.
Participate hands-on in projects and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with security and architecture standards.
Drive process improvements, automation, and operational excellence.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and guide the team to resolutions.
What We’re Looking For:
7+ years in infrastructure operations or systems engineering (servers, virtualization, storage, networking).
2+ years in a leadership or technical lead role.
Strong expertise in ITIL practices, incident/problem/change management, and operational governance.
Hands-on skills with Linux/Windows servers, VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox, networking (Fortinet/Cisco), storage systems (Dell EMC/NetApp), and scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
Experience with containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
