We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Testing/QA Specialist to join their team for a mission-critical transit IT initiative. This is your opportunity to work on public sector and bus operations projects that directly impact Ontario’s transit infrastructure.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
Lead end-to-end QA and system testing activities for integrated applications.
Develop test strategies, plans, scripts, and manage test execution across complex systems.
Perform a wide range of testing: functional, regression, integration, performance, usability, and UAT.
Collaborate with BAs, developers, project managers, and business users.
Track and resolve bugs using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Recommend improvements to QA methodologies and processes.
Provide mentorship to junior testers and enforce best practices.
✅ Must-Have Experience
7+ years in QA or systems testing, preferably in transit or public sector projects.
Strong knowledge of bus operations systems: dispatch, scheduling, fleet maintenance, etc.
Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
Hands-on experience with test automation (Selenium, JMeter, Playwright, Cypress).
Skilled with defect tracking tools and test management platforms.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
🌟 Nice to Haves
ISTQB Certification (Foundation, Advanced, or Test Manager)
Knowledge of accessibility testing and related tools.
Experience with SQL for test data validation and backend testing.
