Exciting Opportunity: Systems Testing/QA Specialist (Hybrid, Toronto, ON) Short-Term Contract
Are you passionate about systems testing and quality assurance? Do you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy ensuring that systems function flawlessly? Join a dynamic team as a Systems Testing/QA Specialist on an exciting short-term project based in Toronto with a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide expert advice on testing strategies, selecting testing tools, and identifying necessary resources.
– Plan and organize comprehensive testing efforts for large systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments.
– Execute integration tests, specialized tests, stress tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
– Develop test plans, test scripts, and test cases for various system components.
– Collaborate with IT leads and project teams to analyze, design, and implement system requirements.
– Conduct functional and non-functional testing, including performance and load testing.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
– Experience in planning, organizing, and executing testing efforts for large systems.
– Expertise with CASE tools and data query tools for creating test cases.
– Proficiency in automated test tools and version control systems across platforms.
– Strong background in executing unit, integration, and performance testing.
– Hands-on experience with UAT, quality assurance principles, and structured methodologies.
– Excellent communication skills and a track record of meeting deadlines.
Additional Desired Skills:
– Proficiency in at least one programming language.
– ➡️ Experience in automated test script coding and working with Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS). ⬅️
– Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations.
– Strong understanding of object-oriented environments and Information Management principles.
