Position: Senior Storage Analyst

Location: Edmonton, AB (Remote with 3-4 times per month travel)

Duration: 18 Months Contract + 12 Months Possible Extension

Education:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or related field of study. Technical Skills:

Able to participate in a 7/24/365 call rotation.Automate routine tasks using Azure Automation, Terrafom, PowerShell, GitHub/GitHub Actions, Ansible, and other scripting tools.Collaborate with data architects, engineers and analysts to design and optimize cloud architecture and services.Experience designing, deploying, managing and monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure, including performance, troubleshooting, security controls and cost management.Experience functioning in a team/group environment.Experience functioning on an individual basis.Experience with data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations. Requirements:

Experience in performing regular backups and ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place.Experience in the Government Domain environment or an environment of equivalent size and complexity.Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices.Experience with provisioning, supporting and administering SnowflakeHands on experience administering Databricks, PowerBI and PurviewHands on experience working in a complex environment requiring prioritization of tasks and deliverables.Hands on experience working in a multi-team IT support environment providing services to other teams and clients. Soft Skills:

Ability to learn quickly, problem solve, troubleshoot, work independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage stress and conflict.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management and vendors.
