Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Linux Administrator. This position involves managing and supporting Linux environments, ensuring seamless migration and operational stability for a key project involving a Siebel upgrade and migration from Windows to Linux.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot Linux system issues and perform installation, configuration, and maintenance
Develop and maintain documentation for Linux environments and processes
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure readiness
Manage and support IBM MQ systems
Create shell scripts to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency
Support high availability and clustering solutions to ensure system resilience
Assist in the migration process from Windows to Linux
Provide technical leadership and work independently to own deliverables
Desired Skill-Set
10+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience
Expertise in Linux security, networking, clustering, and high availability setups
Strong knowledge of IBM MQ administration and support
Proficiency in shell scripting
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
Excellent documentation and coordination skills
Nice to Have
Siebel installation and administration experience (highly preferred)
Prior experience working within a financial institution, specifically at BMO
Experience supporting enterprise-wide migration projects
Familiarity with IT project teams and project lifecycle management
