If so, read on. Our client, an established employer in British Columbia is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using Python or R for data analysis, and will be proficient in managing and transforming large datasets within data warehouses, particularly in enterprise-level environments.

 

THis is a 6 month contract to start, open to extension and is remote. Applicants need to be based in British Columbia.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and optimize complex data models to support business needs and enhance data-driven decision-making.Work with data from multiple sources such as internal databases, external APIs, and third-party tools to create unified datasets.Utilize Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and model building.Create, manage, and optimize data sets within the data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure data infrastructure supports analysis and reporting needs.Analyze and interpret complex datasets, providing actionable insights for business leaders and stakeholders.Develop reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and other business metrics.Ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance and security protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role in enterprise-level companies.Strong experience with Python or R for data analysis, manipulation, and building data models.Proven ability to work with data from multiple sources and integrate it into cohesive datasets.Expertise in SQL and experience working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).Experience in building and maintaining complex data models and pipelines within large-scale environments.Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and best practices for maintaining large datasets.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
