Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. BSA/QE-Payments/Mainframe. This position involves translating complex business needs into technical solutions, managing end-to-end system requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support modernization and compliance initiatives. Pay rate range (CAD): $67.17/hr – $80.61/hr

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications
Manage and trace system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify solutions and assess impact on existing systems
Support testing teams by translating requirements into test cases and validation criteria
Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure quality, scalability, and reusability of solutions
Facilitate communication between business partners and technical teams
Drive process improvement and innovation through subject matter expertise
Contribute to change management, operational readiness, and post-implementation activities
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards and frameworks
Participate fully in Agile delivery activities, including grooming and sprint planning
Support the development of business cases and vendor engagement activities
Desired Skill-Set

8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or Quality Engineer
Strong hands-on experience in querying and maintaining data on Mainframe screens
Proven experience within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe or similar)
Expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for user story creation
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for requirements and project management
Solid testing, gap analysis, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities
Engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Nice to Have

Payment processing experience
API and Postman experience
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot or Github Copilot
Previous experience in banking or financial services
