Job Title: Solution Architect – Cloud & Application Security
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (2+ days onsite, flexible between downtown and Scarborough)
Contract: 6 months (possibility of extension or FTE conversion)
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Rate: 80-92/hr (INC)
About the Role:
We’re seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to design, develop, and implement enterprise IT solutions that enable robust application security and cloud infrastructure. This role is perfect for a technical self-starter with a strong developer or systems integrator background, who can dive deep into solutions and bridge engineering and architecture expertise.
What You’ll Do:
Architect, develop, and implement scalable IT solutions for enterprise application security and cloud platforms
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions
Provide hands-on guidance and technical leadership across multiple projects (DAST, SCA, SBOM, vulnerability reporting)
Ensure solutions follow architecture standards, security best practices, and regulatory requirements
Stay current with emerging technologies to continuously enhance solution quality and efficiency
Who You Are:
7+ years in IT architecture, solution design, and implementation
2+ years in networking and IT security best practices
5+ years with design patterns such as microservices, APIs, and enterprise integration
Hands-on development experience in Python or Java
Familiarity with cloud architecture on enterprise-scale projects (multi-cloud or hybrid deployments)
Self-starter who can take initiative, assess problems, and implement solutions
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
Optional but a plus: TOGAF certification, Application Security experience
